skywards everyday
Skywards Everyday is a mobile app for customers enrolled in the Skywards Loyalty Programme. It allows them to earn Miles with their everyday expenses in Dubai, generating loyalty with the airline and its associated brand partners.
It also supports Emirates Airlines in creating new partnerships in under 5 minutes, a legal process which used to take months.
Challenge
The design felt clunky and confusing.
The new design needed to be delightful to use
My process
As part of my research, I reviewed the existing documentation and talked with my stakeholders to understand what they were looking for and what went wrong before.
I brought transparency to the design process by keeping them updated, explaining the rationale behind the project and as my first delivery, showing the size of the project.
Ideation
Drawing and sharing our ideas improved communication and collaboration.
As the project evolved, the fidelity of the visuals did too. Maps, sketches, low fidelity prototypes, and only after testing and validating our ideas, we worked with high-fidelity designs.
Drawing and sharing our ideas allowed us to communicate better and increased the respect between the members of the team

Share the same language by defining goals, expectations and documenting the design decisions.
